Hated both of the others so not too excited about this one. Although I can't say I'm surprised they're making it.

I found these movies to extremely mediocre, which in some ways, is worse than just being flat out awful, at least then you remember the movie for it's awfulness, where I cannot tell you the name of one character from this franchise, or what the hell either of them were really about.

I on the other hand liked the "National Treasure" films!!! Even though alot of the discovery stuff is still kind of ridiculous!! It personifies "The Amazing Race" but on an absurd fun kind and impossible way!!!

The first one was fresh and good, the second more of a 'phone in' for the actors, but still enjoyable. The third, well, I'll see it. It's been a bit longer in-between movies, so maybe it won't be as thrown together as the second one was. Although I will say this about it; it came out around the same time as Indiana Jones KOTS, and was about basically finding the city of gold in both them, but the set pieces in National Treasure looked 10x better than Indiana's.... WTF?!?

Yeah, I'll pass. I'm one of the only kids my age, it seems, that isn't into National Treasure. Raiders of the Lost Ark and Last Crusade are good enough for me.

Speaking of "The Last Crusade" I rather see "National Treasure" again than to watch "The Last Crusade" for a third time. After seeing that film again to reavaluate why I didn't like that film so much and finally concluded that the reason it was made was so that it can promote the extremely childish tv series called the "Indiana Jones chronicles" which I also loathed!! Talking about light!

I especially hated the way the films starts off, as a young River Phoenix who can out run several adults is too far fetch and pretentious for my tastes. The very first time I saw the beginning though, I thought I was watching the Disney Channel and it's even more ridiculous it again for the second time !!! A very loopy third 'Raiders' installment of the series!!

Yeah, well, while I do find Last Crusade very entertaining, I don't find it (or any of the other sequels) to be on the same level as Raiders of the Lost Ark. I liked River Phoenix, though; I found him as a young version of Harrison Ford's Indy to be very believable, and I usually hate it when kid actors play a younger version of a character. Speaking of which, I'm not fond of The Indiana Jones Chronicles, either.

I thought that the Last Crusade was great as well. It was much better than Temple of Doom. The chemistry between Connery and Ford was great, and the whole movie flowed great. And they actually went places in the world to shoot the movie rather than just using a green screen and some pink mexican props like in KOTS.

The fact that "The Last Crusade" was filmed on actual locations is a poor argument because they're just as many crappy films filmed on actual locations than it is on fake ones.

Considering the fact that at the very end of "The Last Crusade" after several people ran out of the tomb leaving EXACTLY four horses behind for Indy and his friends is 100% illogical. I mean why didn't the people who're running out take the horses? And then the viewers see Indy and his friends ride out into the sunset like four gay men on horseback!!!

Yuk. I agree with King Crunk. These movies are mediocre, flawed and are less enjoyable for me than flat out bad campy Horror or Sci-Fi flicks.

dave...it was made w/ george lucas involved, he pukes out everything for $ but i did rewatch that a few months ago and noticed the same thing. the first few minutes were a trailer for the selling of the Young Indiana Jones. i still love the movie though but you can tell when Lucas has a hand in a flick when it goes to sh3t and becomes a pure marketing tool.

i thought this was announced months ago about NT 3 but...i'm game. you cats take things too seriously. not everything is going to be oscar worthy...

Yeah, National Treasure was a fun bit of farce. Some people don't want realism when they go to a theater and prefer far fetched stories. Waayyyyyy better than the Dan Brown adaptions Da Vinci and Angels/Demons.
