If I see one more high school movie that uses a Literature class Shakespeare lesson as a metaphor for raging hormones and whatever else the screenwriter is trying to put across, I swear I'm going to throttle someone.

Drew Barrymore movies have an advantage that others don't -- they have Drew Barrymore in them. But that doesn't take away from the fact that she makes more lousy pictures than any other good actress.

The flashback-Josie is so grotesque, and the present-tense-Josie so unbelievable that "Never Been Kissed" is essentially an exercise in humiliation.

It's hard to suppress the beauty and charm of Drew Barrymore, but in allowing her to play an air-headed defective, Never Been Kissed manages to do this.
