Consensus: Has the same problems as the worst SNL movies: one-note characters and plots unreasonably stretched to feature length runtime.

Their biggest dream is to open their own club--the problem is they can't get into an existing one to see what it looks like. When two supermodels latch onto Steve and Doug thinking they've found the financial gravy train, it takes them some time to find out the truth about they state of the boys' bank accounts. Reviews for A Night at the Roxbury
[It's] basically a movie with one joke, and it keeps repeating that joke over and over and over.
Even as a skit, Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell playing brothers Doug and Steve Butabi just doesn't work.
Audiences are likely to be as repelled by this lame & lamer combo as their would-be dance partners, because underneath their shallow and clueless veneers is just more shallowness and cluelessness.
A Night at the Roxbury probably never had a shot at being funny anyway, but I don't think it planned to be pathetic. It's the first comedy I've attended where you feel that to laugh would be cruel to the characters.
Depois de um tempo, parei de prestar atenção na história (hein?) e me concentrei na boa trilha sonora. Além disso, o filme é curto o bastante para não se tornar intolerável.
...those who manage to sit through all 81 minutes of it deserve a medal of bravery.
Successfully translates a vapid and empty skit into a vapid and empty film.
Actually, you kind of have to admire its stars, SNL cast members Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan, who remain in character throughout the movie, though even they must know it's going nowhere fast.
We have to survive on a diet of low calorie slapstick and quick-fix buffoonery.
The rest of the film is on autopilot, with comic material that's spread thinner than the lone brain cell the Butabis share.
Though the sketches featuring the two head-bopping losers have sometimes been hysterical on the show, the premise just doesn’t translate to a feature film.
