The special effects are the highlight of this routine science fiction saga. A scientific exploration team bound for the planet Volcryn encounter an evil spaceship helmed by the villainous Jon Winderman (Michael Des Barres), who resembles a composite parody of heavy metal rockers. Cheesy and cheap sci-fi film, poor special effects. On one had, there is some imagination used, on the other hand, no imagination whatsoever to disguise the fact it was made in the 1980's. The make-up and hairstyles are SO 1980's. Another case of a plot sounding good but somehow didn't end up that way. Low budget
