Nirvana: The Untold Stories Trailers & Photos

Movie Info

Nirvana was arguably the most important American rock band of the 1990s; merging the angry energy of punk with the aural impact of heavy metal, Nirvana brought the sound known as grunge to the masses and proved that guitar-based rock was still alive and well at a time when it was widely regarded as a spent force. Nirvana: The Untold Stories is a documentary which charts the group's unexpected rise to fame, as well as the troubled life and tragic death of guitarist and lead singer Kurt Cobain. Please note that Nirvana: The Untold Stories was created without the participation of the members of the group and features no music or performances by Nirvana. ~ Mark Deming, Rovimore

Audience Reviews for Nirvana: The Untold Stories

It is a watchable documentary for a Nirvana fan, but there is something missing and it is the most important thing. We don't hear any Nirvana songs! You shouldn't tell the story of a musical band without including any of their music. This really doesn't give you an inside look of the band either. The people interviewed are mostly distant acquaintances of the band members. You have to be a major Nirvana fan as I once was to appreciate this documentary and even if you are you might not care for it. It's a mediocre watch. (First and only viewing - Late teen years)
