No Country for Old Men -- on DVD April 24!
Winner of 4 Academy Awards including Best Picture, No Country for Old Men is directed by the Coen Brothers and stars Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin. Violence and mayhem erupt in the parched scrubland of West Texas after Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) stumbles on a suitcase containing $2 million dollars at the site of drug deal gone bad. Fleeing with the money, he is stalked relentlessly by hired gun Anton Chigurh (Javier Bardem), an unstoppable sociopathic killer unafraid to leave a bloody trail in his wake. As Moss scrambles to hang on to the money and his life, small-town sheriff Ed Tom Bell (Tommy Lee Jones) closes in on both men in a tautly plotted cat-and-mouse game that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats until the film's unforgettable conclusion.

The No Country for Old Men DVD contains never before seen making of features including a look at the Coen Brothers' filmmaking process, showing how they assembled and shot one of the most compelling thrillers of the year and shedding new light on the complex characters and celebrated creators of the film. No Country for Old Men on DVD April 24.

Why the hell would you advertise this here since it's only open to residents of Australia? Screw you and your bait-and-switches, RT.

I agree with derrickec. What a stupid thing to publish/advertise.

Are we ignoring the fact that this is an Australian website?

I am sorry derrickec and aconline. Rotten Tomatoes is a global site with a localized version in the UK and AU. Only people accessing the site from Australia and New Zealand should be able to see these pages. You must be the exceptions. It is unfortunate that we couldn't make the competition global but there will be a lot of competitions for US residents only so keep an eye out for those!

Australian website? RT is published out of california. And there are localized versions for UK and australia.

Considering the site is published in the US, has mainly US critics, and lists release dates and showtimes based on US location, while "Not everything revolves around the America", the main part of rt.com certainly DOES seem to be aimed at the US audience.

Hi MinderBinder, we are in the process of increasing localisation which is pretty exciting. Basically we will have all of the American content but will be adding more Australian features and more Australian critics to the mix. Also, within the next couple of months you will start seeing Australian release dates and box office results. The idea is not to replace the US content but rather add to it.

We do have an office in Australia but I work very closely with the US team.

I would love some feedback from Australian and New Zealand readers on your thoughts about localising the site. What Australian content would you like to see on here? What can we do to make sure that you are still getting what you love from RT whilst making it relevant. I was a RT tragic long before starting work on the site so I have my own views but would love to hear from you about what you want.

Hello, I'm painfully aware of your UK localization. I'm an American living in France, and until recently I was able to access the US version of RT. Now I can only see the UK version, with its UK critics, which I find far less interesting. I've tried in vain to switch to the US version -- I assuming it's doing the localization off my IP address. Is there a way I can force the US version? Please, I really love RT, but this nukes it for me.

Thanks.

I have no idea what could make NZ/AU rotten better, but this sure does :D. I only look for interviews with great directors, pretty much, other than that, I check what % and rating movies have got here. Fingers crossed I win, I doubt it though, I'm not much of a writer.

Its great that you are trying to get Aussies into this game, ive been checking up on your site for the last 2 years and can only say that this RT has been making this site better and better every week.

I hate it how americans think they are the only people on the planet. I mean if this came up and said it were only for americans....wait a minute, this is the first time its not! Thanks RT!

Oh yeah im not gonna win that prize

I too was pleasantly surprised with a competition for Aussies. I've been visiting RT for at least 4 years now and I'm pleased there's something I can enter. Having more of an international flavour is a good thing, IMO.

Hallelujah!!!! Aussies have something Americans can't for once! Americans don't realise how annoying it is for us Aussies (and Kiwis) when so many competitions, movies, songs etc. are only released/available in the US. Get a taste of your own medicine for once, Yankees! We get everything second hand, or are excluded completely, now its reversed!
No offense, but YAY!!!
Rotten Tomatoes has now officially been raised in Australian opinion.
