When his father does not return from the Norse colony in Vinland (Greenland) for years and years, warrior son Thorvald (Lee Majors) organizes an expedition to find him. He and his co-commander Ragnar (Cornel Wilde) arrive and swiftly discover that King Eurich (Mel Ferrer) and his company were abducted by Native Americans and taken to neighboring lands. Even Mel Brooks couldn't have improved on it: hilarious dialogue, eccentrically filmed battle scenes, Cornel Wilde and Mel Ferrer both in beards behind which to hide their embarrassment.
An unconvincing, stilted adventure with a very '70s looking Lee Majors cast as a Viking leading his men into the New World while searching for his missing father. A low-budget AIP cheesefest that, at least, isn't as boring as 2007's Pathfinder.
