Movie Info

Former film critic Denis Cote (Drifting States) puts down the pen and picks up the camera for this, his second film as a feature filmmaker. Milena (Anastasia Liutova) is a beautiful, twenty-something Bulgarian immigrant who has recently entered into a cyber romance with Sofia-based chat pal Philip (Penko S. Gospodinov). Deciding that it would serve them both well to meet one another in person, Milena and Philip make arrangements to spend three weeks together at a remote cabin. While it doesn't take long for the fledgling young couple to realize that they are physically compatible, differences in temperament and intellect gradually emerge to the point where they become much too powerful to ignore. Later, the romantic getaway takes an unexpectedly grim turn when Philip is attacked in the woods and Milena is forced to contend with a malevolent intruder (Jean-Charles Fonti). ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovimore
