I don't understand why it's received such bad reviews. I thought it was an amazing film.
Aug 29 - 05:21 AM
Total entertainment. Yeah, there are no zombies or vampires, gratuitous sex or gore so the "critics" don't like it. I thought it was great fun and am going to see it again.
Jun 22 - 10:43 AM
Just saw it today & liked it. Sure beats the heck out of the Smith's disaster.
Jun 5 - 04:02 PM
And now, for my next trick, watch as I make this movie go from Fresh to Rotten before your very eyes! *gasps* *how did he do that?*
May 30 - 05:05 PM
It's sorta tanking now, but my original guess was 68 or so. guess i'll stick with that in hope that it's worth something.
May 30 - 02:41 PM
Why does it matter what it's at now? There are only 6 reviews up. I saw it last week and it was the first time in a long time that I've walked away from a movie disappointed. The trailers gave me real high hopes for it but it was just bad. The great cast is sadly wasted
May 30 - 10:16 AM
i'll say 55-60%, i think its entertaining but not much on story/plot or other aspects.
May 30 - 09:19 AM
Man this looked promising - the trailer looked sick - but there hasn't been any reviews posted. Sigh. 40.
May 29 - 05:46 PM
The fact that the movie comes out two days from now, yet hasn't get any reviews on this site yet implies that the studio has little faith in this production. I'd say somwhere between 15 and 35%. Plus I think Jessie Eisenburg is a very uncharismatic lead.
May 29 - 02:39 PM
I have doubts. Movies' packed with so many star actors usually turned south on directions. 28-38%
May 28 - 07:57 AM
I agree that movies packed with so many actors are usually overhyped but this one looks like it might just do the trick.....Also,I am pretty sure that Caine and Freeman would not sign up for a movie with a crappy script
May 29 - 10:13 AM
From what I heard the cast did allright and the movie wasn't that bad on a whole but the direction was terrible. So this is based on like 4 critics and a couple of users that have seen this so I'm guessing around 52%
May 28 - 05:50 AM
They did a bad job with the trailer i think. It will come out to a 55% or so. Might be lower considering the difficulty of pulling of this type of heist movie and making the audience believe in it.
May 27 - 06:41 PM
I don't know what to think about how it will be this movie. Yes, is a different plot, very good actors, but the direction... I have serious doubts about Louis Leterrier, maybe it's because he's been doing action movies that look dumb. The transporter was OK, the sequel was awful; Clash of titans, I didn't hate it, but wasn't good at all; then it's Hulk and I have to say that there is some good job there, but I wouldn't say that it is because of him, the action scenes, the few ones that it has, worthless and dumb, especially the last one, and it's a very long one, I think it was good because of the cast.
If this last movie turns out to be good, maybe it will be because of the twist, that I've heard are pretty crazy and unexpected, some humor, some action scenes, hopefully might not look dumb, some magic tricks, those probably will look dumb. I'm affraid it's going to be like "Such a great cast, a good plot, but under the wrong director."
I'm thinking on below 65%.
May 27 - 02:27 PM
58-68%.
"Now You See Me is an elaborately crafted thriller with elements of Ocean's Eleven in it, but is occasionally bogged down by run-of-the-mill performances and exceedingly ridiculous plot points."
May 27 - 12:16 PM
52%, 48% Cream of the Crop. This movie isn't being treated like a very hot commodity, which is problem given that it has no built in audience and no huge star in a leading role. Hence my rating guess.
May 27 - 09:34 AM
Based on the four reviews I found 3 were positive and 1 was negative I'd say 75%, but something tells me it'll fall between 35-40%.
May 24 - 08:53 PM
38% Critics will think it's dumb. It seems sort of promising but I feel like the screenwriting is going to be bad.
May 21 - 04:55 PM
76%: Now You See Me is a surprisingly witty and inventive flick that shines through its all star cast, even if its story goes off the rails somewhat.
May 20 - 01:52 PM
I've seen enough trailers from Hollywood to know how this'll most likely turn out. My guess is Now You See Me will be decent but probably not be able to meet the expectations of critics and audiences. My guess, between 50 and 65 percent give or take.
May 20 - 11:59 AM
67%. "While the payoff might not be as exciting as the premise, Now You See Me is still a slick and stylish summer entry thanks in no small part to its game cast."

ps, to all those hating on it, just to give you a bit of perspective, the budget for this film was $75 million, the box office so far is $292,957,000
