NOWHERE MAN tells the unfortunate story of a soon-to-be-married man whose life is turned upside down when he uncovers a shocking secret from his wife's shameful past. Conrad (Michael Rodrick) can't believe that his beautiful fiancé, Jennifer (Debbie Rochon), acted in porn films years before they met. What's worse is that her costar just so happened to be the outrageously well-endowed Daddy Mac (Frank Olivier). Unable to cope, Conrad verbally abuses Jennifer at a relentless pace. After a physical altercation, Jennifer finally takes matters--and a pair of shears--into her own hands. Clicking into vigilante mode, the desperate Conrad embarks on a violent quest to reclaim his manhood. Featuring a fiery performance from Rodrick (DESOLATION ANGELS), as well as the gorgeous Rochon, NOWHERE MAN works first and foremost as a revenge thriller. But in typical McCann fashion, the film also addresses deeper issues of forgiveness and personal insecurity. Acclaimed indie producers Lloyd Kaufman and Bob Gosse also stop by to deliver memorable supporting turns in the cast. [More]

Reviews for Nowhere Man
Tim McCann's witty video cheapster takes its squirmy premise both at face value and as deadpan metaphor.
Not since Paul Verhoeven’s The Fourth Man has a film produced such castration anxiety.
...the cheap look and the intensity of the actors involved give the movie a darkness that effectively counteracts the juvenile humor
If Nowhere Man isn't as consistent as McCann's excellent 2001 feature Revolution #9, it further establishes him as an unpredictable, uncompromising talent working well beneath the industry radar.
If you're into nasty little revenge tales shot on muddy video, this flick may provide a fix. All others have been warned.
both Rodrick and Rochon are engaging beyond the quality of the material, especially Rochon, who ought to get some real roles in Hollywood before she burns out
It's the kind of aimless junk the creators like to label "dark comedy," except it's never funny.
The bleak absurdity of its predicaments cries out for a tone of pitch-dark comedy to stave off the unintended laughter that it is virtually certain to elicit.
An unpleasant slog to an unrewarding conclusion that feels far longer than it is.
This deliberately repugnant thriller is told from one distraught man's perspective, as he copes with the emasculating impact of love.
Less a nod to the Beatles song than to avenging spouse trimmer Lorena Bobbitt, the film pits the two most off putting male fantasies toe to toe - eunuch and porn stud - and just kinda lays back to watch the fur fly.
