No Topher Grace Cameo in "Oceans 13"
The "Oceans Eleven" remake series have had great celebrity cameos. Bruce Willis stole the uncredited show in "Oceans 12" and Topher Grace popped up in each of the first two films, as one of Brad Pitt?s celebrity card students (exclaiming ?All reds!?) Unfortunately, "Spider-Man 3" kept Grace from completing the cameo trilogy.

Pacino Dives into Ocean's Gang
Legendary actor Al Pacino will join the (obviously massive) cast of Steven Soderbergh's "Ocean's Thirteen," says Variety. Odds are he'll be playing a villain, but plot details are being kept quiet. Pacino joins newcomer Ellen Barkin and series regulars George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, etc.

With no "Lord of the Rings" movies to contend with this Christmas weekend, "Meet the Fockers," which opened last Wednesday, became the best Christmas weekend opener ever at $44.7M. The previous best was 2002's "Catch Me If You Can" at $30M.

Box Office: Ocean's Twelve 4th Highest Dec. Opener
If estimates hold, Ocean's Twelve's $40.9M opening will be fourth highest December opener of all time. Only the three Lord of the Ring films have better debuts. Return of the King holds the record with $72.6M, The Two Towers is second with $62M, and The Fellowship of the Ring is third with $47.2M. Ocean's Twelve's $40.9M opening is also better than its predecessor's $38M debut three years ago.

Weintraub Cancels Cops, Finds God Instead
MTV Movies contributes a piece of news that should prove absolutely heartbreaking to anyone holding out hope for a new "Police Academy" sequel...and that includes Steve Guttenberg: "Producer Jerry Weintraub, whose 'Ocean's Twelve' opens next week, is no longer interested in reviving the 'Police Academy' series and will instead focus his energy on his 'Oh, God!' remake starring Ellen DeGeneres.
