"October Baby" may be well-intentioned, but it's as obvious and inert as a spoonful of mashed potatoes.
What obvious? That forgiveness is important and Life is Precious. Hopefully you already knew that.

Not really, since the vast majority of people going to see it on their own are already sympathetic to its message and are therefore more likely to identify with the movie.

If it's obvious, then why aren't more movies being made about it? Brothers being killed through abortion, and the sister survives and is adopted. Then she finds out and attempts to contact the mother who has blocked out that part of her life from her husband. Oh, sure, we see Hollywood making that kind of movie all the time. Sounds inert to me.
Some people are not sympathetic to ones' brother or sister being killed through abortion? Really? No. I suppose some people - a few living in Iran - are not sympathetic to the Holocaust either. This is like saying the vast majority of people going to see Schindler's List are Jews because only Jews were killed, and therefore they are more sympathetic to its message.
