Trailer Bulletin: School for Scoundrels
by Scott Weinberg | August 08, 2006
Discuss Article
From the director of "Old School" and "Road Trip" comes another crotch-centric comedy, this one starring Jon Heder, Billy Bob Thornton, and a whole bunch of (generally) funny goofballs.

Synopsis: "A down-on-his-luck meter reader enrolls in a confidence-building class so he can win the love of his dream girl. The class turns out to be something quite different once it becomes clear to the young man that his professor has set his sights on the same woman."

Also on board are Jacinda Barrett, Michael Clarke Duncan, David Cross, Ben Stiller, Horatio Sanz, Todd Louiso, and Sarah Silverman.

"School for Scoundrels" opens on September 29th.

Sarah Silverman is in it, so you can count on my ticket.

Jon Heder is insanely one-dimensional.
I definitely have a lot of doubts.
Billy Bob Thornton will have to be top of his game to save this one.

Did you see that? HE HIT HIM! Hahahahaha. In the testicles, sometimes! And look, Jon Heder is playing exactly the same role he always plays!

Seriously, this looks like complete crap. Not even David Cross can save this mess.

Jon Heder is not playing the same character. did we watch the same trailer? sure hes a loser and sort of a nerd but he doesnt seem dumb like he did in the other two. Its just what hes good at. most comedic actors are one dimensional. I like the fact that he gets all tough or tries to be. THis looks great.

Jon Heder sucks. Napoleon Dynamite sucks. The emperor isn't wearing any clothes, big surprise. I'm glad that it seems like most people don't like Jon Heder anymore. Now maybe people will finally realize how unfunny Napoleon Dynamite is.

Anyone who doesn't understand that humour is purely subjective needs to be executed.

Great cast - except for Stiller. He is like a lighthouse beacon for crappy comedies.

Stiller is a comedic genius and of course he has had his bombs but which comedian hasn't?
