Why OGF is a future masterpiece (Spoilers)

Just finished reading a thorough and interesting new movie review of OGF and why it's destined to be a classic. I recommend taking the time to read, especially if you saw it and didn't understand what was going on with Julian's character:

Reading through it, it seems good. Just wanted to make a note that it didn't seem like the father of the prostitute killed Billy with his hands but with some kind of object. I can't remember exactly, maybe a block of wood?

Eh, reading through it he didn't really go much deeper in his interpretation than you already have - and he didn't articulate it as well. Additionally, he seems to have gotten some story elements/chronology a little bit off. I hope he's right though - about the film becoming a classic. More likely a cult classic, but yes, listening to people having a gut reaction to this work and calling it a "misstep" for an otherwise good director is kind of gross.

Yeah I found something better that goes through and dissects almost every scene here: http://youtu.be/nOPZURubLyU

In time people will learn to appreciate this movie for what it is, rather than hate it for not what it's not.
