The wares are guarded over by Arkwright himself (memorably played by Ronnie Barker), a hapless curmudgeon whose shop and manner seem to come from another era entirely. Amid it all, Arkwright tries to groom his reluctant nephew, Granville (David Jason), to one day take over the store--not to mention make some halting advances on buxom nurse Gladys Emmanuel (Lynda Baron). This third part presents a collection of episodes from the show created by Roy Clarke (LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE, KEEPING UP APPEARANCES). [More]
