Critic Reviews for Open Season 2
Like the previous film, it doesn't take itself too seriously. It's not high art, but it's fun and silly for kids and families.
Even though it's cursed with a small budget and a complete overhaul of the voice cast, Season 2 is a gentle charmer, yet even more importantly, it's practically A Night at the Opera compared to the first film.
Audience Reviews for Open Season 2
I can't believe they made another one. I can't believe there is a third one too! I liked the exploration of the domestication of animals story-line and how they switched it over and I liked the casting of Crispin Glover as an angry little toy poodle called Fifi. However, I hated the animation again and the bizarre teachings of the importance of marriage to young children. What was that about? Let kids be kids, just be silly and leave adult guilt and moral dilemmas out of it. Its bad writing and we've seen it (and disliked it) all before.More
I might have been able to stand Open Season 2 if it had a good enough story too it because I think the humour was slightly better then the first and a bit more tolerable among adults. Unfortunately, the movie never went anywhere.More
The animals from the first Open Season movie find themselves on another adventure as their daschund friend is reclaimed by his owners and they go after him in an effort to rescue him and bring him back to the wild.
What I liked about this movie: ok well... there were actually some pretty funny moments in it ranging from characters like Fifi (a male poodle who hates wild animals) to a gas station attendant who has a few funny scenes on his own.
The movie also is pretty lighthearted but not as good as the first one
Open Season 2 Quotes
- Mr. Weenie:
- [Getting taken away by Bob and Bobbie] No! No!
- [Terrified, witnessing all this] Noooo!
- Hey, Roberto, my main man! I appreciate the help out there!
- Hey, guys. Room for one more?
- For sure.
- Isn't this great, Boog?
- What's great?
- Well, not great that Weenie's been kidnapped, but great that we're livin' life on the edge! It's just like old times! Two guys, out on the road!
- Hey, does anyone know where we are? [No answer] Eh! Didn't think so!
