Mediocre in every way. Memorable only because of whimsical camp value.

Dean Proffitt is the gruff, blue-collar woodworker who recently had a nasty run-in with Joanna. Dean spots the memory-free lass on television, and in an act of vengeance, "comes forward" to declare her as his wife. The once-pampered Joanna is now performing housework and caring for Dean's four uncouth boys! The two eventually fall in love with each other, but when Joanna's real husband shows up (and makes her aware of her riches), whom will she choose? [More]

Reviews for Overboard
Cute and inoffensive. Sweet but not so much that you hate yourself for liking it. This is a good thing.
While the prospect of watching Miss Hawn play a rude, nasty socialite is appealing, and even the transformation to homebody is a funny idea, Overboard winds up taking things too far.
Overboard is a dizzy comedy about the ways in which wealth insulates the rich from the simple pleasures of life.
