And Metacritic has it at 43, which is really bad. I'm surprised, the promos look so good. Of course, it's possible that all the good parts are in the promos and with Michael Bay directing it wouldn't be surprising if I saw it and went man, did the promos mislead me. Guess I'll wait until it's on cable.

I agree, most critics are unnecessarily harsh as a rule. As a reviewer, I feel like since I'm not making movies, I don't have a right to trash someone's work. Discuss it, make note of what didn't work for me personally, but I always also look for the positives. And in the case of Pain and Gain, the positive was Anthony Mackie in Philly and we got the interview!

What are examples of these certain rotten films that you enjoyed? Because I really like some rotten movies, and the critics aren't always right. Films that are sometimes regarded as classic, films like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Natural Born Killer, are rotten, but people like them anyway.
