Frankie Avalon has only a cameo, relinquishing center stage to Tommy Kirk, playing a teenaged Martian (!) studying the lovemaking rituals of Earthlings. Old-timers Buster Keaton, Dorothy Lamour and Elsa Lanchester also weave … More

[Lacks] bounciness, the poppy energy that tends to make the utterly trivial nonsense in all of these movies seem like charmingly simplistic fun and not just careless trash.

Antagony & Ecstasy

It's cheaper, it's dumber, it's obnoxious, it's boring. It's the Tommy Kirk one.

It's the kind of wacky teen comedy where the less brains you have the better chance you have for getting what this film is all about.

Ozus' World Movie Reviews

Mindless, but classic teen musical comedy with Annette.

Even if the sole purpose of your film is this sort of cheap theatrics, you still need some semblance of a plot.

Audience Reviews for Pajama Party

½

More of the same beach party hijinks, by now on autopilot, with plenty of old Hollywood types dropping in. Keaton gets away with stereotyping Native Americans only cause he goofing himself just as much. You will ask yourself "why am I watching this?" but its still kinda goofy fun.

An average "Beach" movie, nothing special except maybe Keaton's small role, he was in another "Beach" movie as well, though. It's somewhat fun, but somewhat boring as well. Overall, it's okay.
