Alvart achieves a strong sense of scale, but characters and ideas are lost amid a mess of fight scenes that, oddly, look like outtakes from 'The Descent'.
You clearly didn't enjoy the movie as a movie and went and compared it to something that only vaguely seemed similar to. You didnt see the movie's story and ideas and saw how it did something that has not been done before! re-colonization, failure, then prevailing! Descent was crap! this had parts of it, but really it was the arch that made it. think of that instead, thats what a true science fiction lover would do. A lover of movies would be thoroughly entertained.

But Kris...seriously, the creatures looked almost identical. The biggest difference is that "The Descent" has tension and feels claustrophobic. "Pandorum" is an ok flick, sure.

They don't the pointy ears and the faces are different. So that statement is pretty idiotic.

Story aside, the movies do have a lot of similarities, and I do think The Descent is far better as a horror film. This has more to it, though. But still, I love The Descent and like this one.

I agree with you Kris, and freewillgeek you dont know what your talking about. This movie makes you feel like your being chased in the dark perfectly well.

Yeah, fuck the Decent. This is Pandorum, and if you derived the main point of the movie from the creatures then you missed everything that it was about. This was by far one of the most creative, deep, and interesting movies i have ever seen. Not to mention the whole movie you experience hopelessness that is climatically ended in the prevailing of humanity. Nigel Floyd, you are clearly do not look at film as an art, and freewillgeek, go masturbate to the Decent.
