Opening on August 7th, Paper Heart follows Charlyne Yi (Knocked Up) as she embarks on a quest to obtain some answers about the nature of love and ultimately discovers a kindred spirit in Michael Cera (Juno, Superbad). Consequently, we are teaming up with Charlyne herself and the film's director, Nicholas Jasenovec, to hold a contest of the best-Tweeted love poems.
Entering the contest is easy as pie: follow RT on Twitter, and between today, July 6th, and next Monday, July 13th, Tweet us a love poem no longer than 140 characters. (Technically, entry tweets should be 140 characters total, so include the prefix "@rottentomatoes" so we get your tweets!) Then, between July 13th and 17th, Charlyne and Nicholas will choose their favorites, and one lucky poet will win a trip to the film's premiere! Not so confident in your poetic abilities? That's okay, because runners up will also receive great prizes!
Remember, to enter you must Tweet your poem to www.twitter.com/rottentomatoes, where you can follow RT for the latest movie news and review updates and for our reactions to your poems as they come in. Also, follow Charlyne Yi and Nick Jasenovic as they post messages to the official Paper Heart Twitter!

I've won before, and still have my RT T-shirt and MousePads. . . =) Since I'm entering the contest, nobody else should. Yah pretty much have no chance. Sorry. But, if you want, you can send me your poem and I'll, er, critique it. (Reply to this) |

Jeren writes: on Jul 10 2009 03:23 PM They're also having a contest on Deviantart for this movie too. But you have to draw up a poster about what love means to you instead of tweeting a love poem. I might as well enter both of these contests! Haha. (Reply to this) |

A Lapse In Reason writes: on Jul 12 2009 12:52 AM This movie looks HORRENDOUS jesus christ man who put up cash for this worthless indie docu tripe??? RT maybe you can put me in touch with the people responsible I would love to just chat with them to get a better understanding of the people who thinks up stuff like this. Here's Micheal Cera in a nut shell oh look at me i'm so awkward and funny and oh i like to say things that bring about an uncomfortable silence and wear tight sweaters that look like they're old so that i have that vintage original look that everyone loves so much.
