Film director Satoshi Kon (MILLENNIUM ACTRESS, TOKYO GODFATHERS) brings his sensibility for quality images, rich characters, and social commentary to television with the series. The serial assaultist Shounen Bat races around Tokyo, attacking people at random and baffling the police. As his media presence grows, his persona takes on a life of its own, simultaneously lionized and despised for what he represents. As the police search for Shounen Bat, they must tangle not only with the criminal himself, but the legend that has grown up around him. In this final volume, a near mass psychosis has gripped the city in Shounen Bat's wake, and the investigators must make one final attempt to catch him and quiet the maddened populace. [More]
