* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * This movie is as good as "The Silence of the Lambs"? * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * Exposing Pre-Release Date Critic's paid for positive reviews. * * * * * * * * *

* As of October 19th, they have the tomato meter @ 90%, what is this a top 10 horror movie of all time? Doubt it! *

Before 500,000 of you throw $15 down the toilet, take another look the legit critic's reviews: Check out Roger Ebert's, Roger Moore's, and Alonso Duralde's review. Fact: Often, pre-release date critics write positive reviews because they are paid for promoters. They know people see or avoid a movie based on reviews. According to them, Paranormal Activity 3 is just a good as "The Silence of the Lambs", both scoring about 90% in the Tomato-meter as of October 19th 2011.

There often a huge disconnect between these paid for pre-release date critic's reviews compared to the post release date critic reviews. Their job is to get you in the theater this weekend. The tomato-meter will crash once the public and the non paid for, post-release date critics actually see this found footage fraud.

Let's discuss the actual so called 'movie'. After, let's talk the scam being run with pre-release date critics.

First, this movie is a a stale piece of rotten cinematography. Remember what made the movie "The Blair Witch Project" scary in the 1st place?

The audience was able to feel like the movie could be real, or at least, it felt real enough, long enough, to sell it's concept. This style of movie compromises; quality in exchange for a realistic environment for the audience. However, this formula only works once. It's impossible for a squeal or a prequel to sell the manufactured realism of the first go around. The series is unable to sell the audience on the Hi-8, 16 mm camcorder as being authentic the second time around.

Paranormal Activity 2 was a huge failure, only 50% of the audience liked it. That is a huge number. Nobody bought the "amateur footage" as being real the second time around. Well, Paranormal Activity 3 is trying to use the same recipe for it's third go around. It's impossible to suspend disbelieve, and accept the Hi-8 & 16 mm film as anything more than an obvious cheap trick at this point.

Paranormal Activity 3 lost it's manufactured real feel two films ago. Without it, you are will find yourself faced with the frightening reality of this horrendous film; an unbearable story-line with dreadful dialogue.

When the main thrill of the film the is still, doors shutting by themselves, you have yourself a cheap B movie which should barely make the cut for streaming NetFlix. The found footage genre is turning out to be a found footage fraud. This is nothing more than a very bad Halloween money grab.

* * * * * * * * * What is this movie, as good as "The Silence of the Lambs" or something? Doubt it * * * * * * * *

...but the pre-release date critics would like to give you the illusion it is. As of October 19th, this movie has 18 positive reviews, and only 2 negative. 500,000 people will see this garbage this weekend based on pre-release date critic's reviews. Sly and profitable business move.

You can always tell which films use this type of dis-ingeniousness "paid for reviews" promotion style when there is a huge disconnect between the post release date critics reviews, and audience approval rating.

Both PA3 and The Silence of the Lambs both have a near 90% Tomato-meter. The truth is the audience approval, and the post release date critic reviews. Expect the Tomato-meter to drop fast after opening weekend.

Only 55% of the audience liked the first PA. That dropped to only 50% of the audience in PA2. But these pre-release date critics are rating this movie to be as good as The Silence of the Lambs with a near 90% tomato-meter. There is clearly a huge disconnect, further exposing these paid for promoters.

I expect the downward trend to continue, and say about 40% of the audience will like the third "found footage" fraud. The Tomato-meter will come down to a reasonable rate when the post release date (non paid off) critics review this joke of a film. However, it will be to late, and PA3 will cash in BIG this weekend.

Who wins?

Corrupt paid for promotional pre-release date critics, win.

Movie profits, win.

You, lose. This entire thing is a scam. As of October 19th, the pre-release date critics are rating this movie a 90 on the tomato-meter. Look for that to drop quickly once the non paid for critics, and the audience see this fraud of a film.

See the paid for pre-release date critics scam for yourself. Good business movie; disingenuous review. You lose.

My dad did what most people do these days. Last night he seen the trailer, checked the tomato-meter which was at 90%, then made plans to see it the next day. He read 20 positive reviews, and only 2 negative, and though he was in for a Halloween treat.

My brother with a group to see a later screening. All 7 of agreed that PA3 was one of the worst movies we have ever seen. My dad almost asked for a refund because he felt ripped off and cheated.

Well, dad, you did get tricked this Halloween. It's a simple, inexpensive, yet very effective movie promotion scam. The movie hand picks 20 critics, allows access to a early screening then pays them to write good reviews. The Nation gets excited to see the film based on these 20 basis reviews.

The trick always comes to an end when the real critics & the public's feedback start coming in. But, it will be to late, and the movie will have already made 5 million dollars in a weekend using a simple yet ingeniousness promotional scam.

According to these 20 hand picked pre-release date con-critics, Paranormal Activity 3 is rated just as good as "The Silence of the Lambs", both scoring about 90% in the Tomato-meter.

Without any spoiler, I can describe it as your annoying little brother sneaking up to you every 15 minutes and yelling, "Boo!" The first time you tell him, 'stop, that's not funny,' even if you were slightly startled. The next few times he does it, it becomes stale and annoying.

Literally it's a stretch to call this a thrill, but all you get for 12 bucks is an occasional door shutting by itself, and someone jumping out of a closet saying "Boo" as a practical joke.

Paranormal Activity 3 lost it's manufactured real feel two films ago. Without it, you are will find yourself faced with the frightening reality of this horrendous film; an unbearable story-line, dreadful dialogue spoken by acting school drop outs.

I expect the downward ration of 20:2 positive: negative reviews to drop rapidly after opening weekend, exposing the paid for critics.

The tomato meter was 90% when we looked on October 19th. Look for that to drop to about 55% in a week. I can't see any more than half of the audience reporting they enjoyed it either.

Corrupt paid for, -promotional pre-release date critics, you are put on notice. You will be exposed when America sees you get a Boo for 12 bucks, and you rated this movie as well as The Silence of the Lambs. Literally.

Update: The tomato-meter was at 90%, down to 72%. That means the second night critics rated the movie @ 50%. 90+50=140/2=70%. Huge Disconnect between 90% and 50%. The same can be said for the audience approval. 89% down to 74%. Look for the audience approval to be down to the 50's like PA1 and PA2 are. Also, FYI, the film is only 1 hour 20m; which includes 6 minutes of credits. Short by any standards...

Chris T... you sad, sad, man, movies are art, the OWS protesters are standing up in revolt against corporate criminals for actually stealing money, they're not in protest of art art, even the worst cash in movies ever have artistic value to some audiences. If you paid to see PA3 knowing full well that you didn't like the other 2... well you really do have ego problems. You want so badly to be that guy who sees things he hates as an ironic statement against them. So your theory throughout these trolling comments has been that people are paid off for good reviews. Yet look at the audience ratings, very good. If you walk into a suspense movie, trying to hate it, and trying desperately not to let it effect you, then you're really just a cynical person with a preconceived notion that will not change. They're not groundbreaking movies, but people like to let their guard down on halloween and enjoy a scare here and there. If you want to drag a completely separate protest into this, because out of some delusional idea that you think you're part of this revolution by trolling a movie, there's some major personal reflection and hypocrisy you need to be addressing here.

Literally.

I sure do have an issue, with this movie.

* Exposing this found footage fraud, and the corrupt pre-release date critics *

* Plus my non-spoiler review *

My dad did what most people do these days. Last night (October 19th) he seen the trailer, checked the tomato-meter which was at 90%, then made plans to see it the next day.

* Review *

Without it, you are will find yourself faced with the frightening reality of this horrendous film; an unbearable story-line, and dreadful dialogue.

Chris T: "I AM NEVER TRUSTING ROTTEN TOMATOES AGAIN"

RE
It's probably the movie industry you shouldn't trust. The movie was probably released to selected critics by the studio before it's public release.
No one else saw it, so RT had nothing else to report.
When the movie goes to wide release, the rating drops dramatically, and RT show's it. Same thing with G.I. Joe. It started with like 94%, went through the floor a few days after theater release.

Once again Chris t, the tomato meter is based on the amount of positive reviews. There are 82 reviews and 58 of them are positive which comes out to a percentage of 71%, which means even the majority of post-release critics are scoring PA3 well (not an f rating as you assert). Also the user ratings are not updated every day, however, 3000 more user reviews were added today and the movie is still trending well by the public. All you have proven with your efforts is that a commercially and critically successful movie does not fall in line with your opinion. It doesn't matter because all you're doing is going from review to review posting the same spam. When you do stuff like that people just come to not even care what you're complaining about. PA3 has a rating of 70% and that's enough for anyone to want to give it a look. You're just being a big baby and trying to throw statistics that no one cares about. Who gives a f*ck if some critics were payed to give a good review. It happens to almost every high budget movie out there.

The point is PA3 is going to do well because of it's time of release. It's release date is close to Halloween and people are going to watch horror movies around this time of year. So stop b*tching and throwing these stupid facts that no one cares about at us. You're just making your self look foolish.

My dad did what most people do these days. Last night (October 19th) he seen the trailer, checked the tomato-meter which was at 90%, then made plans to see it the next day.

* * * * * * * * * * * * ** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Review * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Without it, you are will find yourself faced with the frightening reality of this horrendous film; an unbearable story-line, and dreadful dialogue.

What you are actually watching is someone watching a VHS tape about their childhood, staring, -people recording themselves as they watch what they recorded the previous night.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Prediction * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Literally.

----------------------
Update: Oct 22: Update: October 22. (FURTHER EXPOSING THE PAID FOR REVIEWS) Pre-release date critics rated the move a A, 90%. Post release date critics rated it an F, a 50%. 90+50=140/2=70%. Huge Disconnect between 90% and 50%. A to an F. The same can be said for the audience approval. 89% down to 74%. Look for the audience approval to be down to the 50's like PA1 and PA2 are. Also, FYI, the film is only 1 hour 20m; which includes 6 minutes of credits. Short by any standards...

I think the discussion of Chris T's mental state is a more interesting one than the discussion with him about this movie. Partly because there's no sense in discussing something with someone who has no reason; partly because analyzing why he would make such an effort to try and "convince" us that his opinion is valid is such an intriguing thing itself that he becomes an interesting character that we can't understand, and thus we make assumptions that we assume must be true in order to explain this weird action by him. It's not that we are being mean or angry in thinking these things, but instead we feel sorry for him because he just doesn't understand what it means to be normal; he doesn't understand that his actions are maniacal and complete overreactions. Poor, poor boy. Hopefully he will grow up one day, but it is not this day!

Chris, I'd be willing to bet your father also wanted to ask the pediatrician for a refund after you were born. The disappointment he felt then is probably only matched by the disappointment he feels now, knowing he raised the type of idiot who would waste valuable time copying and pasting his unsolicited, childish on EVERY review of this movie. It's Saturday, don't you have a date or something? Of course not, stupid question, never mind. Now feel free to insert another one of your lame mother jokes...c'mon .....we're waiting............................

54M Opening weekend, Chris T. Highest OW weekend yet not just for any PA film but for any film in October. And it's still holding steady at 72% and 74% for users. I imagine it sucks to be the most irrelevant user on RT right now.

Update: October 25. (EXPOSING THE Rotten Tomato FRAUD ) Pre-release date critics rated the move a A, 90%. Post release date critics rated it an F, a 50%. 90+50=140/2=70%. Huge Disconnect between 90% and 50%. A to an F. The "audience" has not changed, it has been frozen at 27,896 audience reviews since October 21. What are they hiding? Why suppress the audience views. LOOK TODAY, OR TOMORROW, I BET IT SAYS FROZEN @ 27,896.

If it was possible to buy out Rotten Tomatoes, The Transformers trilogy would be 100% fresh. Are they buying the audiences out too chris T?

I predicted it would drop to 50%, after initally being at 90%. Looks like I am right.

*and yes, they do play with the audience reviews. They are not updated often at all. Especially when a movie is only in theaters for 2-3 weeks. They let the opening night reaction of the hardcore 'fans' weight to heavily.

I've been checking moneyball and the thing over the past couple days, one with great critic and audience reviews, the other with terrible critic and audience reviews, and the audience review numbers have stayed the same on both of those too. I'm guessing the RT servers just stop counting after opening weekend or the servers would be getting crushed for weeks while the movies are still out. Stop being such a biased pr!ck chris.

1.) I agree with this reviewer. I was surprised at how much fun and how creepy it was. really liked this movie, it made me definitely want to check out the first two.

2.) Chris... Forget it. I was thinking of explaining in detail every single reason why what you're doing here is completely arrogant and obnoxious, but it's been a long day for me, and I just want to relax. So I'll just leave you with this: GET. A. LIFE.

UPDATE: Further Exposing this fraud of a movie rating. Day 4, STILL the number of audience rating has not changed! Still @ 24,129. Take a look even now; it's been stuck at 24,129 for 4 days; -since October 21st! That only happens when something is being hidden for obvious misleading purposes.

Saw this last night. Same setup as the first two, still very tense and well-made with regards to building up a very palpable sense of dread. No wonder it's the biggest opening ever for a horror movie.

Its painfully obvious the initial critics were paid to say this was a good movie,.The movie has slipped from an 83% to a 69% in 2 weeks,..I dunno if rotten tomatoes will be the force runner in "real" movie reviewing much longer,.Is it being run by the Madoffs?
