Whereas the rampaging robots may be emphatic of the hypothesis of labor disputes in an undirected futuristic society, Patlabor goes to excessive lengths to describe itself. Numbering biblical references and performing similarly to a daytime television program, this moderate Mamoru Oshii film should entertain the grade-skipping adolescent or the anime aficionado.

taking the characters of the "patlabor " series and having them grow . Giving them a hard science fiction story with a touch of humor . fantastic music score and great direction by mamoru oshii .
