Three years have passed since Paul (Sean Bury) and Michelle (Anicée Alvina) fell in love and moved away from their parents. Still somewhat in love and struggling with raising a child, the couple must contend with relationship problems. While Paul works a dull job and attends college, Michelle falls for Rivea (Keir Dullea), and after engaging in an affair with the older man becomes pregnant with his child. Director Lewis Gilbert pulls out all the stops for this witty drama which captures the metamorphoses of adolescence to adulthood. He takes the couple whom he first introduced in FRIENDS and shatters them against a brick wall of grown-up responsibilities and moral decay, reconstructing them as edgy young adults. Somewhere between satirical humor and real life drama, PAUL AND MICHELLE is a thought provoking time capsule of the 1970s, delicately portraying the difficulties of love. [More]
