It is really quite difficult to begin describing a movie like this. It is a catastrophic adaptation of Steinbeck's novella. Acting worse than a combination of Hayden Christensen Ben Affleck. Overall, the story makes very little coherent sense, featuring glowing pearls, Mexican ninjas (not as cool as it sounds),

The movie dwells on greed and power and the corruption that comes from it. The psychology in play is excellent. Some could say it is a little "hokey", but it really is about simple people overcoming the rich & powerful...and how hard that is to achieve.
