Actually, I think the movie looks pretty similar to Meet the Parents, but I think Craig Robinson and David Alan Grier are gifted comics and this could be a funny movie.

I really don't give a crap about whether they're black or white--dumb is dumb and good is good. And to hold it against them that the movie looks like another movie...watch movies much? Every story is derivative of another movie. No more is this painfully obvious than in the new R.I.P.D. with Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges. It is almost a page-for-page rip off of MIB. Jeff Bridges is the Tommy Lee Jones and Ryan Reynolds is the white Will Smith. They chase after "masquerading" dead people who threaten the world, ummm...

I don't know, I actually have some hope for this one because David Alan Grier who I thought was brilliant in Living Color back in the day. He's a good stand up comic and dramatic actor (played in Law & Order SVU). I'm not ruling this one out, just yet.

yh, its kind of sad. Its just, blacks dont get a lot of movies, and when they do, they arent...great. Some are, but just..hmm. Not a lot of variety when it comes to African American movies. It hurts me to say, but its true. When a black director finally starts to get a good imagination, then you can talk to me. I will def see it.
