Director Gil Cates Jr.'s first feature film is stunning examination of the effects addiction and denial have on human relationships. At the core of the film are Max (London) and Brigitte (Spradling), whose relationship is in trouble because of his gambling problem and her drinking problem. Falling back more and more on a pipe dream about getting Jack Nicholson to read his screenplay, Max slowly begins to realize what his gambling is costing him. [More]
