I remember how I used to love that book, and I was overly excited from the movie. When I saw it on theater, I remember that I forced myself to like that movie, even though I knew in my mind that it sucked.It is a real shame that this book series are not getting same treatment as Harry Potter -series.

the problem isnt that it isnt faithful to the books: problem is that these percy jackson movies are boring, hollow, poorly acted, and poorly directed. maybe this will be better, bit i doubt it

Just watched the screening of Sea of Monsters last night in San Francisco. I'm very sad to say that it could have been better....a lot better :(

The movies need a new director, because the books are so good, that this movie isn't close to doing it justice.

It's not super terrible, but while watching it, it lacked something.
A lot of stuff didn't make sense to me unfortunately.

The last 30 minutes was the most exciting, with the ending a bit of a let down. There were so many "Well he could have done this instead" moments I was thinking of in my head..

There were a few surprises I wasn't expecting though, but you don't feel a deep sense of loss when they happen because the characters just don't emotionally capture you as much as I wish they did.

I enjoyed the Original Movie, and while it is different from the book people are saying this is a faithful adaptation. Which was about to only flaw the first movie really had. The Source material Has a lot of potential in movie Form the Novel were all great.
