She travels to the South of France where she carries out her revenge on the judge and is immediately arrested and imprisoned. She now faces extradition back to Russia with almost certain death and torture. Our film begins with the committee desperately trying to find a way of saving her. Someone suggests Alexie Tolchev, a brilliant but erratic young revolutionary, to come up with a plan that will rescue her from the Chief Prosecutor who is traveling with the papers to bring her back. The plan is daring and brilliant and Alexie soon finds himself having to accompany Anna, a beautiful accomplice to carry out the plan. She is determined for the plan to succeed and for the revolution to change Russia into Utopia. Alexie is not so sure and like his brilliant plan, it soon runs into trouble aboard the luxury steam train, The Petersburg—Cannes Express. With hilarious action and daring, the couple not only succeed, but fall in love and now face another dilemma. Does Alexie return to Russia with Anna or does Anna go to America with Alexie. Whatever the decision, it’s a tearjerker and surprise. [More]
