Such a dismissive attitude comes from a deeply-biased mindset. I suspect youth and inexperience are at fault with the reviewer. The film needs to be judged not only on its potential appeal to the average moviegoer today, but also on its appeal to older generations as well as to serious movie buffs of all ages.
To dismiss this film as "Ed Woodsian" reveals a naivete that is lamentable.
