Mediocre looking

Yeah the animation looks good, particularly for something that originally was supposed to be STV but the writing sounds so bland. Everything that made the first Cars movie charming is gone. Add in the fact that Dane Cook is now the star and you've a release destined to become known as the first truly terrible Pixar movie. Ironically when Pixar took over overseeing all the animated releases at Disney they cancelled all un-necessary mediocre looking sequels. Physician heal thy self.

I was so underwhelmed by the previews for this movie that I wondered why they created this waste of time. What happened to the Disney animated movies that we waited to see with much anticipation?

The animation and the music was georgeous but the story a lot of people just watched in Turbo a few weeks ago and almost the same characters. Saw it in a special screening on the USAF Base my wife is stationed. Glad Pixar was out of this!

Yeah it's going to have a stupid storyline. It was originally going straight to DVD.

Actually, I believe you are off the mark here. Pixar only release the films that we know as Pixar films (Monsters Inc., Toy Story, etc).Disney still releases it's own films, independent of Pixar involvement (Princess and The Frog, Tangled, etc).

Actually, this is from the studio that makes a lot of Disney's direct-to-video CGI movies, like the Tinkerbell ones.

Exactly. DisneyToon Studios (also responsible for the infamous the direct-to-video Disney sequels).
