In this legal thriller, a rookie lawyer jeopardizes her career and perhaps even her life when she falls in love with her client, an accused serial killer. When the case is first handed to Elaine Taylor (Jennifer Grey), she is elated and nervous. It is her most important case yet, and she is determined to shine.
