Eberts review makes no sense, he draws no conclusion whatsoever and basically says that it disappoints because he likes magic and had a fixed view on it. not everyone does, not everyone thinks like you, the film was incredible, not a single fault could I find anywhere, the ending portrayed a very human emotion/act of revenge from both characters and that's what it boils down to, the prestige was that both men realised the truth about each other at great cost personally. If you watch the film closely enough everything is explained its just nice to find a film that doesn't explain everything for you within the first two minutes. Your very much left to work it out on your own, and if you aren't paying attention, you won't see it coming or understand it when it does. Spectacular film
