Leading a cutting edge generation of young filmmakers, Josh Evans (INSIDE THE GOLDMINE, GLAM) writes, directs, and stars in this gritty underground Los Angeles saga. Paul (Evans) agrees to act as a courier for Mr. Ball (Michael Madsen), a vicious kingpin who traffics in a substance called "blue" which is said to be "more addictive than air." Against the wishes of his best friend, D (hip-hop artist Sticky Fingaz), Paul pulls off the deal which goes fatally awry, leaving him on the lam with the cash and the stash. Now on the run, Paul meets Anne (Charis Michelsen), a beautiful young actress working in the fringes of L.A.'s porn film industry. Fleeing to the sanctuary of the Las Vegas desert, the two find themselves in love, with trouble hot on their tail. Gorgeously shot on digital video, with an eclectic ensemble cast which includes Alexis Arquette, Michelle Phillips of the Mamas & The Papas, Dick Van Patton of television's EIGHT IS ENOUGH, and a soundtrack featuring new music from Seal, Sticky Fingaz, and drum and base artist Goldie, THE PRICE OF AIR is a hipster movie with a twist. Eight Is Enough patriarch Dick Van Patten plays a baddie with a fondness for S&M (yes, you read that right).

Largely incoherent, slung-together, low-budget mess of a movie.
