Don't get me wrong - I really really liked this film! Superb job by Denis Villeneuve and Hugh Jackman for sure.
When Keller was talking to Alex's real mom (who lost him to Holly) and they were watching the videotape, I realized pretty quickly that that kid grew up to be Alex and Holly was the original kidnapper who most likely sent Alex out to get some new kids. This especially made sense to me because the scene seemed otherwise irrelevant and the fact the RV was parked outside that home was maybe showing that Alex remembered where he used to live and liked to sit outside and contemplate life... or bringing everything to light possibly?
Anyway, I called it then so when it was revealed later it was less of an "Oh my God!" reaction and more like "Yup..."
Did this happen to anyone else? Or did I just happen to catch this while questioning the relevance of the scene? (which I immediately regretted doing honestly)
