The plot of this Alien prequel was a carefully guarded secret -- so carefully guarded, in fact, that not even the movie reveals it.
well considering it's not an alien prequel...

Gustavo H. Razera
Um, yes, it is.
Jun 7 - 11:21 AM
It's a pre-prequel
Jun 7 - 12:22 PM

Jun 7 - 01:19 PM

They ruined the franchise. Simple as that. XENOMORPHS have been around longer than humnas...and ridley scott didnt direct Aliens and Alien3...Dark horse comics, and avp movies, and videogames have already established their Origins. And this movie conflicts with it...too many plot holes in this movie. also the timeline in incaccurate.
Now answer this....black liquid destroys the dna, decomposes the human body? How is it able to unsterilize a woman when it's entities are completely to destroy? Who piled up the other dead engineers?! Were the mutate snakes stage ONE Xenomorphs?
Movie was weak..and you can all thank that stupid ass writer from LOST. that freakin dipshit ruined everything.
Jun 10 - 09:06 AM
Not a prequel. It's a side-quel.
Jun 7 - 10:59 AM
ha ha, they should have at least tipped off the screenwriters!
Jun 7 - 11:14 AM
There is this really handy website www.google.com, you should try it sometime. 'In late 2010, he brought Lindelof onto the project to rewrite Spaihts' script, and together they developed a separate story that precedes the story of Alien but is not directly connected to that franchise. According to Scott, though the film shares "strands of Alien's DNA, so to speak", and takes place in the same universe, Prometheus will explore its own mythology and ideas.'

Ridley dropped the ball with this movie... a complete waste of 2 hrs.

The ratings are slowly climbing and all these negative reviews are getting trashed. Serves these idiots right for seeing the movie and writing reviews while they're obviously having an off-day. Take your pills and watch it again.
Jun 8 - 03:43 PM
Jun 9 - 03:21 PM
its set too far back to be a prequel.
Jun 8 - 01:59 PM
Ha! Ha! Absolutely spot on review. It was awful.
Jun 8 - 11:47 PM
Its not an Alien prequel! It a whole new story set in the same universe! Why don't you pay attention if you're going to review movies. The only part that is a "prequel is the end scene with the Alien coming out of the Engineer.... Listen to Ridley talk about it and he'll even tell you its not a prequel
Jun 9 - 03:20 PM
Only part that's a prequel is the end scene? Uh, NOOooo. They ruined the franchise. period. That idiot writer from LOST ruined it with all these plotholes.
Jun 10 - 09:16 AM
You seem to have a vendetta against Lindelof, but you show how ignorant of the situation you are. Lindelof actually took out a lot of connections to Alien that would show MORE about how the xenomorphs were created. So Lindelof saved the franchise by your narrow definitions.
More to the point, Scott was making a prequel to his own film, regardless of the three that followed, of which he had no part. It's perfectly acceptable to create a prequel to your own film and execute your own vision, disregarding what other people did with your initial creation.
TL;DR, calm down and go troll elsewhere.
Jun 15 - 09:12 PM
You know a movie is in trouble when its' audience is not only confused about the plot, but also whether it's a prequel or a side-quel. All we know for sure is that financially it's part of the Alien franchise. As atrocious as the Star Wars prequels were, at least we knew what it was or wanted to be. Prometheus doesn't even have that going for it.
Jun 14 - 02:33 AM
It's not a prequel. It's a crap-quel.
