"Prometheus" has the integrity of a serious and sincere attempt, but ultimately it won't please anybody.

Mr. LaSalle, this film pleased me immensely. I believe you are trolling to see just how many filmgoers your review irks to the point of response. Congratulations, you irked me.

I think it's official, anyone using the term "Troll" or "Trolling" is a complete moron. It's the ultimate argument of the simpleton. The dude didn't like the picture, get over yourself.

I think we're more upset that this guy thinks he speaks for every last person on this earth and even beyond. I was more than pleased, I was shocked, awed, and terrified. This guys emotional spectrum is as flat as his hair.

I think you watched it with glasses on your head because you were too scared to do otherwise.

That's a very broad statement. He's really going to pull it out for THIS movie?

Roger Ebert gave Prometheus 4 stars !!! Who is this guy ? He probably said the same silly things about Blade Runner back in 1982 ...

Roger Ebert is a fat stupid blow hard. Why anyone gives that moron and credibility is beyond me. The only people who like Ebert are the morons who are too young to remember when he was just another schmuck reviewer.

Off course it pleases most of us - this is one of the best sci-fi movies ever and fantastic looking. You must be a very bad journalist since you can claim something like that!

If you think this is one of the best sci-fi movies ever, I am guessing you haven't watched must sci-fi. This was mediocre, predictable, and unevenly paced at best.

I think he means that no one will be satisfied with an answer to the questions the film raises, because the questions are not answered.

I think you're correct, but most of these other people have raging hard ons to bash people who disagree with them. They're too dumb to understand the review.

Actually... I found that most of the questions were answered, save for a couple of the big ones which (one assumes) are a tease for the sequel, which we all knew was coming.... Not a perfect film, but far from confusing.

And somehow it still has 73%... apparently you don't speak for the entirety of humanity Mick.

Yea Mick, you're 'definitely right'...Myself and 400 other midnight attendees who were clearly having a great time, must have actually just hated it completely LOL. Dude, at least 20 of us in our corner of the theater are already purchasing tickets to this again. Maybe not the greatest movie of all time but completely enjoyable to many...

This movie was great. Just cause you don't like it doesn't mean the entire human race wont. Stop reviewing movies. You suck

I thought Prometheus was extremely well done and it's my new favorite movie, so I'd say I'm pretty pleased. My friends liked it too, and we're no idiots. It seems like a lot of the movie reviews these days are suffering from an old vs new complex. Most younger people are probably going to like this movie, and the critics are going to be among the older generations. Also this movie might simply be too intelligent for some people...

"this movie might simply be too intelligent for some people..."

RE
Or might simply be too poorly constructed. It was about as intelligent as Mega Python vs. Gatoroid.

I'm not sure what's worse... that you would compare a Scott film to something on the SciFi channel or that you have actually seen 'Mega Python vs. Gatoroid'

well it certainly pleased me!!!! maybe it was too complicated for you so you slate it!!!! Beautiful, intense, good acting, good story and its NOT a pre qual to aliens.
Don't worry.....hangover 3 will be out soon, that might be more on your level to review!!!!!!
