RT on DVD & Blu-Ray: Prometheus and Rock of Ages
We know, we know; a lot of you were looking forward to a lot more than what you were given in Prometheus. Well, if you want to rewatch it and rehash it with your friends, it's finally out on video this week. But while Prometheus was one of the most anticipated, most talked-about movies of the year so far, there are some other items of note, like a rock musical, a couple of Hitchcock movies on Blu-ray, and a magical film by Steven Spielberg. Box Office Guru Wrapup: Madagascar, Prometheus Lead BO Surge
The North American summer box office jolted back to life after a three-week slump thanks to a pair of powerful new 3D flicks - the animated sequel Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted and the sci-fi chiller Prometheus - which kicked in over $110M in combined ticket sales. The overall marketplace surged 30% over last year's which was a healthy gain after recent weeks saw box office numbers trail last summer's.

Tomatometer Watch: Prometheus
Don't call it a prequel. Or do. Wait, now it isn't. At this stage everyone's probably a little weary of the speculation over whether or not Ridley Scott's Prometheus is a direct forerunner to his 1979 classic Alien -- most of us simply can't wait to get a look at the thing. Well, the wait is (almost) over and the first reviews have started to arrive from the trades and outlets in the UK (once again those lucky geezers have the jump on American audiences). She (understandably) didn't reveal too many details, but Noomi Rapace talked a little about Ridley Scott's "Alien"-esque "Prometheus" during a recent interview.
