Jam-packed with bloody guts and gore, this horror collection includes the following Italian films: BEYOND THE DARKNESS: From the schlock director Joe D'Amato (TROLL 2), who has made over 100 films, comes one of the most infamous and graphic films to emerge from Italy. Kieran Canter stars as Francesco, a fabulously wealthy but deranged young man who loses what is left of his sanity after his girlfriend dies. Unable to let her go, Francesco preserves her body, paying obsessive attention to detail, so that she will never leave him. As his psychosis accelerates, Francesco begins killing innocent young women and dissecting their corpses. Featuring a soundtrack by Goblin (SUSPIRIA) and scenes that purportedly feature actual corpses, BEYOND THE DARKNESS is surely not for those who are easily nauseated. THE HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK: Though not released until 1984, this horror film from Italian director Ruggero Deodato was actually shot five years earlier. When two obnoxious New Yorkers burst in on a New Jersey dinner-party uninvited, their plans to cause havoc are put on hold as they realize the wealthy diners have some sexually sadistic agendas of their own. DELIRIUM: Definitely not for those who are faint of heart, Renato Polselli's DELIRIUM is a truly shocking piece of 1970s Euro-exploitation cinema. DELIRIUM stars Mickey Hargitay as Dr. Herbert Lyutak, an unhinged sex maniac who brutally abuses his female victims before killing them. His wife is turned on by Lyutak's victims--although her increasingly disturbing visions of medieval torture and lesbian orgies threaten her already tenuous grip on reality. Shocking, darkly comic, and unspeakably sleazy, DELIRIUM is an unforgettable experience. [More]
