Munro has one of the cooler behind-the-scenes jobs on set; he commands a console of audio controls, monitoring playback of footage. Quantum of Solace is particulary challenging to mix, Munro says, because director Marc Forster (with whom Munro previously worked on The Kite Runner) "hates to have any dialogue replaced -- he wants all the dialogue to be original."
A longtime sound mixer, Munro has worked on such films as Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991), Judge Dredd (1995), The Mummy (1999) and Bond movies Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World is Not Enough (1999), Die Another Day (2002), and Casino Royale (2006). He won the Academy Award for Best Sound for his work on Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down (2001).
