"Greenlight" Guru to Take on a "Devil" of a Remake
by Scott Weinberg | April 06, 2005

Fans of "Project Greenlight" are certainly familiar with producer Chris Moore ("American Pie"Wink, and now they'll get a dose of more Moore from behind the director's chair. Chris will make his directorial debut on "Race with the Devil," which will be a remake of the 1975 horror flick of the same name. For those perhaps unfamiliar with the original "Race," Reuters sums it up nicely: "center(s) on two couples who head off to Colorado for skiing and dirt biking. Along the way, they witness a satanic sacrifice, but when they call the local authorities, all evidence disappears. They resume their vacation but find themselves shadowed by a cult."Penning the revisit are Drew McWeeny (of AICN fame) and writing partner Scott Swan.

HOPE IT'S BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL
It all sounds like a cool idea -- Peter Fonda and motorcycles and satanic conspiracies but unfortunately it is just a one note movie, the ending is interesting enough but I never really saw any race with the devil. This film would have been better as a 30 minute twilight zone episode. I don't know, maybe someone can find a movie in here.
