Marsden Signs On for "Rambo 4" Duty
by Scott Weinberg | February 16, 2007

No, not "X-Man" James Marsden; we're talking about Matthew Marsden. He'll be playing a mercenary soldier who teams up with gravelly ol' John Rambo in the fourth chapter in this action series.

Astute movie fans may remember Matt Marsden from his work in "Black Hawk Down," "Tamara," and "Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid." His upcoming flicks include "Resident Evil: Extinction" and the long-delayed "DOA: Dead or Alive."

According to IGN Movies (who got it from Variety), Marsden and Sylvester Stallone will join forces in "Rambo 4: Pearl of the Cobra." Also, Stallone will be directing himself, much like he recently did on "Rocky Balboa." He also wrote it. Both. The guy's a machine lately, ok? Shooting is scheduled to begin in Thailand next week.

So ... thoughts from the Tomato Patch? I think most would agree that "Rocky 6" turned out (at least a little) better than we expected it to be. Could the same thing happen for "Rambo 4"?

They should have Christian Bale play every role ever.

And then when he is done he can do the movie "Christian Bale", written and directed by Christian Bale, starring Christian Bale.

I think it would win an oscar...
