I expect a poor review from some idiot like Jackie K Cooper (who also hated Fantastic Mr. Fox and obviously hates anything fun) but I thought Michael Phillips was better than this.

I can agree only somewhat. It tried to be a kid's movie and failed. If it had pointed its focus towards an adult audience then it would have been greater, but you can't ignore the clever motifs and quirky visuals. It's just good story-telling(which is also a theme). If you didn't find anything funny or clever, I don't know what movie you were watching. And might I suggest a better review synopsis? It implies ignorance and I'm SURE you're better than that. You understand sarcasm, right?

I gotta go with the minority on this one... why did anyone think this movie was good? There are some things, like Bigfoot and Roswell, that will never be explained.
