This is a pretty typical car race movie from a director (Howard Hawks) who usually makes better stuff. There are several great race scenes from some of the world's big-name courses (Daytona; Riverside, California; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Ascot in England. The story revolves around three stock-car racers and the women they run with.
