This change-affirming docu's minimalist lack of polish or stylistic affect almost becomes a plus, its stark, bare-bones presentation somehow befitting the tales of abuse and incarceration so baldly proclaimed within.

Released comes off as a series of heartfelt testimonials that, despite their sincerity, have a limited scope beyond the usual don't-do-drugs and go-to-school cautionary tales.
