jacog writes: on Jul 09 2009 04:08 AM Haha. The 80s movie was rather goofy, especially the bullet dodging. :) But hey, why not. I think studios are announcing stuff like the ViewMaster movie, so that people would be less upset about reboots and remakes. (Reply to this) |

The D. writes: on Jul 09 2009 06:55 AM While I agree with Buck69 to a fair degree (see Batman begins) I don't here for this reason. EVERY GOD DAMNED DAY IT'S ANOTHER ****ING REBOOT. We are now officially living int he dark ages of film where original concepts are concerned. If I wanted to relive my childhood, I'd order Netflix, or hit the now defunct Virgin Mega store in Times Square. It's the fact that it's the "Thing" now, and that it (Rebooting-the good, the bad, and the "are you outta you're ****ing mind?!)has taken priority to the point of ludicrousy over anything else coming out of Tinsel Town. ****ing Remo Williams? Who cares? They might as well reboot Adventures in Babysitting! Oh...right. In any event, the original Remo was great 80's camp. Leave it at that. Stop the madness...VISIT OUR www "Ho (Reply to this) |

Chris C. writes: on Jul 09 2009 06:59 AM Oh yeah, Fred Ward would have to be in it or no deal for me either. I think he has a fairly open schedule these days. He could be the new Chung type figure, teaching a new recruit. If that's the case, it could work. (Reply to this) |

Don't Tase Me Bro writes: on Jul 09 2009 08:25 AM Naw...some films I'm cool with a reboot. Laughable visual effects and poor production values actually plagued some good films of yore. I mean I have no problem with a reboot of Logan's Run for example... Besides anyone born after 1985 has no idea who Remo Williams is so it's worth revisiting. But if it stars Nicolas Cage...I'm done... ...and I will write plenty of "****" with 'The D.' and join his noble and just cause to stop the madness in Hollywood. Then the world can truly 'heal' from its wounds. Rainbows will blanket the horizon. Peace will be declared across the Earth. Suffering, starvation will dissolve into tears of joy...all facilitated by www.hollywoodreboot.com. It all hinges on Nick Cage... Come on you bastard...I dare you to don another wig and play Remo... scifimark writes: on Jul 09 2009 03:58 PM Im in!!! actually i have no problem with this reboot. The movie was much more subdued than the books ever were from what i remember hearing. Like Remo's character was a pretty bad racist and dodging bullets wasnt that bad compared to some of the stuff in the books. In the books he strengthened his fingernails so he could scale walls. i agree with maybe 2 or 3 out of 10 movies to reboot and this is one (Reply to this) |
