This is almost a follow-up to its relative The Exorcist, since it stars Linda Blair, also the leading lady in the '70s head-spinner tale. In Repossessed, a grown-up Blair plays a housewife who becomes possessed by the Devil while watching TV. Leslie Nielsen plays Father Mayii, who gets called to exorcise the intrusive being. ~ Rovi

fits in better with the slate of low-rent spoof movies, having more in common with Epic Movie than the original ZAZ classics like Airplane!
I remembered it being bad back then, but nothing could have prepared me for how truly awful it was seeing it through much older eyes.
Makes Scary Movie 2 look like Young Frankenstein.
BAD wanna-be comedy. Really lame.
A spoof of the Exorcist with the Star of the Original Piece, that is very rare. I must admit I m very sceptical to many movies with Leslie Nielsen, he is not always funny for my taste and I must admit I easily get bored in many of his movies even if it is directed by ZuckNuckle (David Zucker) but this was a guilty Joy

They took the Exorcist legend and tried to make it fun, but it ends up being just dumb and derivative. Kudos to them for getting Linda Blair to star in this. Leslie Nielson fits the priest role nicely, but a better script and set of gags was needed.
