After a shootout, and a brush with premature burial, the girls seek shelter in a spooky castle. After they share an erotic encounter, the girls discover they are not alone in the castle. It turns out that it is populated by the disciples of the last in a long bloodline of vampires who needs a couple of virgins to continue his bloodline. Jean Rollin's 1971 film is a stunning, surreal exploitation film and one of his most notable. Though some unconvincing vampire teeth and bats may evoke laughter, the film still has a strange and eerie power (and a considerable amount of sex and nudity). With little dialogue, this unusual work often feels like a twisted silent horror. [More]
