It turns out that it is populated by the disciples of the last in a long bloodline of vampires who needs a couple of virgins to continue his bloodline. Jean Rollin's 1971 film is a stunning, surreal exploitation film and one of his most notable. Though some unconvincing vampire teeth and bats may evoke laughter, the film still has a strange and eerie power (and a considerable amount of sex and nudity).
