The acclaimed Showtime television series Resurrection Blvd. follows the triumphs and tragedies of a Latino family in East Los Angeles as they struggle for their place in the American Dream. Widowed patriarch Roberto Santiago (Tony Plana) presides over his five children in hopes of continuing the family tradition of boxing, steering his son Carlos (Michael DeLorenzo) into the boxing ring while older brother Miguel (Mauricio Mendoza) assists in training. Meanwhile, younger brother Alex (Nicholas Gonzalez) is a premed student, sister Yolanda (Ruth Livier) works as a lawyer, and high school student Victoria (Marisol Nichols) veers dangerously close to trouble. Rounding out the Santiago clan are Roberto's sister-in-law Bibi (Elizabeth Peņa) and his older brother Ruben (Daniel Zacapa), who has been permanently damaged by his boxing career. Together, the Santiagos experience the daily joys and griefs of family life in this emotional series that remains the first television drama to prominently feature Latinos both in front of and behind the camera.
